WHO holds a workshop to adopt a unified approach to treating hypertension and cardiovascular diseases in Libya.

World Health Organization in Libya (WHO) held a workshop to adopt a unified approach to treat hypertension diseases and reduce the factors causing cardiovascular diseases in Libya in cooperation with the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), the Primary Health Care Corporation at the Ministry of Health, and the Libyan Cardiac Society.

A number of experts and health professionals, in addition to consultants, cardiologists, and decision-makers, participated in the workshop, which was held yesterday under the slogan “Access to essential medicines and technology”.

Participants discussed the latest updates about the WHO package, which is part of a strategic pilot project to improve intensive care for cardiovascular patients and reduce risk factors for heart disease with the aim of improving patient care by adopting a unified protocol for treating hypertension at the national level during this year.
