The Emirates News Agency (WAM) has joined the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the Communication University of China (CUC).
Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi, Director-General of the National Media Office (NMO) and Acting Director-General of WAM, represented the Emirates News Agency at the event.
In his address, Dr. Al Kaabi emphasised the robust UAE-China relationship, rooted in cultural, economic, and historical connections. He underscored the significance of international collaboration in advancing media development and fostering communication among nations.
Dr. Al Kaabi met with Zhang Shuting, President of the University, to discuss strengthening media cooperation. He expressed optimism for a future of fruitful collaboration, aiming to exchange expertise and build stronger bridges of communication between media entities in the UAE and CUC.
He also held discussions with Fu Hua, President of Xinhua News Agency, focusing on enhancing media relations and exchanging knowledge in journalism and digit
al media.
The meeting underscored the significance of joint media coverage of events in both countries, contributing to deeper mutual understanding and stronger bilateral ties.
Dr. Al Kaabi invited both the CUC President and the Xinhua President to attend the Global Media Congress, scheduled from 26th to 28th November in Abu Dhabi.
He expressed aspirations for further cooperation with the People’s Republic of China in the media and communication sectors, fostering mutual understanding and cooperation for a brighter future that connects the world.
