US President Joe Biden confirmed the assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Yahya Sinwar.
He said in a press statement: I will speak soon with Netanyahu to discuss returning the hostages and ending the war.
He added: There is now an opportunity for a future for Gaza without Hamas in power.
He continued: Hamas is no longer able to carry out another attack like the October 7 attack.
