US Nat’l Women’s Art Museum…a space for art to flourish


The United States’ National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington DC has become a space of appreciation, displaying achievements of historical and contemporary art by women from all around the globe.

The National Museum, founded in 1987, is the first of its kind to dedicate its support to women in the arts, containing more than 6,000 works of art from the 16th century to contemporary times, and collecting distinguished artefacts from more than 1,500 international women artists.

The National Museum hosts exhibits, programs, and events to become an epicenter for women’s artistic work, and to encourage women artists.
