The US Central Command said in a statement that the US army, along with the Iraqi army and the Syrian Democratic Forces, carried out 196 operations in the first half of 2024, resulting in the killing of 44 ISIS members.

It explained that 137 operations were carried out in the Kurdistan Region and areas of Iraq, resulting in the killing of 30 ISIS fighters and the arrest of 74 others, and in Rojava and Syria, 59 operations were carried out against ISIS, resulting in the killing of 14 ISIS members and the arrest of 92 others.
