Umm Al Qaiwain Unveils Logistics City and Cargo Airport to Boost Economic Growth.


Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain and Chairman of the Executive Council, announced the establishment of the Logistics City and Umm Al Qaiwain Cargo Airport. This announcement was made during the council’s meeting as part of the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2024, held in Abu Dhabi. The initiative is a significant move towards fulfilling the emirate’s Vision 2033, which aims to position Umm Al Qaiwain as a global logistics hub.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Logistics City will serve as an integrated area supporting transportation and trade activities, facilitating logistical operations and improving connectivity between different modes of transport. Featuring modern infrastructure, the city includes advanced warehouses and state-of-the-art systems in the transportation and shipping sectors. This development is expected to attract investments and companies, thus bolstering the local economy.

cated within the emirate, is designed to efficiently handle air cargo shipments. It aims to enable rapid air freight operations and provide advanced shipping solutions.
