Robert Raines, Consul General of the United States of America in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, has commended the United Arab Emirates and its wise leadership for their efforts in addressing global challenges, including food security and safety.
He emphasised the importance of the partnership between the two countries in tackling these global issues.
In a statement on the sidelines of the Dubai International Food Safety Conference, which commenced yesterday, Raines noted that forums and conferences hosted by Dubai are rich in discussions, serving as global platforms for policymakers and experts to envision the future.
He highlighted the UAE’s initiatives in addressing the challenges of climate change through innovation and partnership. Raines referred to the collaboration between the United States and the UAE since COP26 in Glasgow, leading up to the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) at Dubai Expo, reflecting a global desire to move from pledges to implementation.

collaborating with the UAE government to develop and implement innovative solutions that reduce carbon emissions and enhance agricultural quality. This partnership aims to tackle global challenges and benefit people worldwide.
