The US army destroys 3 missile platforms in areas controlled by the Houthis in Yemen

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that its forces destroyed 3 missile platforms in areas controlled by the Houthis in Yemen.

CENTCOM said in a statement on the X platform today, Wednesday, “During the past 24 hours, US Central Command forces succeeded in destroying three missile launchers in an area controlled by the Houthis in Yemen.”

“It has been determined that these missile launchers represent an imminent threat to the United States, coalition forces, and commercial ships in the region,” she added.

It stated in the statement that ‘these measures were taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters protected and safer.

It is reported that the Ansar Allah movement in Yemen (the Houthis) began launching attacks last November on ships linked to Israel or heading to its ports in response to the Israeli war against the Gaza Strip, which led to escalation of tension in the Red and Arab Bahrain and the Gulf of Aden.

In response to this, on January 12, the United States and Brita
in began carrying out a massive attack on ‘Ansar Allah’ sites in several Yemeni cities against the backdrop of the movement’s attacks in the Red and Arab Bahrain, before the movement expanded the targeting circle to include American and British ships in response to the air strikes.
