The State of Law Bloc told / NINA /: The Parliament will ask these questions to all Ministers and officials during the upcoming sessions

The State of Law Coalition bloc confirmed that the House of Representatives will ask oral questions to all Ministers and executive officials during its next sessions, respectively.

MP Muhammad Al-Ziyadi stated, in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), that “the House of Representatives is in the process of hosting the Ministers successively during the upcoming sessions, and oral questions will be asked related to the work of their ministries, as well as the files of the state administration and an indication of the extent to which the paragraphs of the government program voted on by the House of Representatives are proceeding, including the assessment of Directors General within four months of the government’s life, and of Ministers within six months of the current government’s term.

He added, “The House of Representatives is committed to exercising its oversight role in following up the work of the government and state institutions, and evaluating Ministers, Governors, Undersecretaries, Directors General, and all executive joint officials in accordance with the constitution and the law,” indicating that “hosting and directing oral questions will be for all ministers at the request of the relevant parliamentary committees.”
