The President of the Republic, Abdel Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Sunday, a written message from Algerian President Abdel Majid Tebboune.
The Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement that “President Abdel Latif Jamal Rashid received a written message from Algerian President Abdel Majid Tebboune, which included an invitation to the President of the Republic to participate in the work of the seventh summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, which is to be held in Algeria early next March.”
It added in its statement: “This came when President of the Republic received at the Baghdad Palace, the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Iraq, Jihad Eddin Belkas, and that Abdel Latif entrusted Ambassador the ambassador his greetings and thanks to Algerian President Abdel Majid Tebboune for his kind invitation.”
Rashid stressed, according to the statement, “Iraq’s keenness to strengthen relations and expand the horizons of constructive cooperation between the two countries in a way that serves common interests and contributes to the consolidation of security and stability in the region.”/ End
