The President of the Presidential Council receives the Russian ambassador to Libya.

Today, Monday, the President of the Presidential Council, Muhammad Al-Manfi, received the new Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Libya, “Idar Aghanin.”

The Presidential Media Office stated that the Russian ambassador conveyed to Al-Manfi the greetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and praised the efforts made by the Presidential Council to achieve peace and stability throughout the country.”

According to the same source, Al-Manfi stressed during the interview the depth of the bilateral relations between the two countries, and his keenness on the contribution of Russia, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, in stabilizing the situation in Libya and realizing the dream of the Libyans in holding simultaneous parliamentary and presidential elections, looking forward to the success of the new ambassador in his duties during period of his work in Libya.
