A force from the Popular Mobilization Forces began, today, Sunday, a large security operation east of Salah al-Din.
A statement to the PMF media said: “A force from the Kirkuk and East Tigris Operations Command in the Popular Mobilization Forces, represented by the brigades “22-9-88,” with the participation of military engineering unit, anti-explosives, and military intelligence, in cooperation with Salah al-Din Operations Command, on Sunday, launched a large security operation on Al-Aith Island in Saladin Governorate.
The statement added: “The forces participating in the security operation launched from 6 axes, in conjunction with an army force and a force from the Counter-Terrorism Service.”
It continued: “The operation aims to dry up the sources of terrorism and impose security and stability in the region.”
