The Ministry of Planning signed today, Monday, contracts with a number of companies to work with the electronic payment system at points of sale (pos) in all the Ministry’s devices and departments.
A statement by the Ministry stated, “today (5) companies licensed by the Central Bank of Iraq were chosen within the lottery system, after submitting offers by (10) companies.”
It added, “These companies will undertake electronic payment work after completing the installation of the devices for that, and this comes in implementation of the Prime Minister’s directives, to automate all financial procedures in Iraq.”
It is worth noting that electronic collection through electronic payment methods and points of sale (pos) gives this service the possibility of collecting financial dues electronically using point-of-sale (pos) devices, as electronic payment companies licensed by this bank can carry out the activity of processor and collector and provide this service and publish devices for the purpose Electronic Collection of amounts, wages and fees for government services through the aforementioned payment gateways .
