The Minister of Trade discusses with his Lebanese counterpart procedures for accelerating the convening of the joint Iraqi-Lebanese committee


The Minister of Trade, Atheer Dawood Al-Ghurairi, discussed with the Lebanese Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, the acceleration of holding meetings of the joint Iraqi-Lebanese committee, in a way that serves their mutual interests, especially with regard to the agricultural fields, services, and customs cooperation. ”

During the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the meetings of the Economic and Social Council in Manama under the umbrella of the Arab League, Al-Ghurairi stressed the desire of the Iraqi government, within its program, for Lebanese companies operating in various fields to enter the promising Iraqi market and benefit from the available opportunities, with an emphasis on overcoming all obstacles they face.”

The Minister called on the Lebanese side to hold specialized exhibitions on the grounds of the Baghdad International Fair, and to actively participate in the upcoming forty-eighth session of the Baghdad International Fair.

For his part, the Lebanese Minister stressed th
e depth of the bilateral relations that bind the two countries, which are based on a common vision that serves their goals to facilitate the movement of goods and services, stressing that he shares the opinion of the necessity of urgently convening the joint committee that serves the economic relations between Iraq and Lebanon.
