Tripoli: The governor of the Central Bank, temporarily assigned by the presidency, Abdel Fattah Ghaffar: “There will be no delay in disbursing salaries in the future, and we will work to disburse them within a day or two.”

“We are currently working on providing commercial banks with cash liquidity.”

“We addressed the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank through the Ministry of Finance in Tripoli and confirmed our commitment to international laws.”

“The Central Bank is working with a new, fully-fledged Board of Directors and will hold its first meeting tomorrow, with employees expected to report to work.”

“Traders must deposit their money in commercial banks, otherwise we will be forced to take action regarding this matter, and tomorrow we will discuss extending the period for withdrawing the 50 dinar note from the local market.”
