The Governor of Basra denies a statement attributed to him about the release of kidnapped Iraqis in Iran

The Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, denied a statement attributed to him, circulated by some media and social networking sites, regarding the release of the Iraqi abductees and the overthrow of the gang by the Iranian security services. ?

Director of Information in the Basra Governorate Diwan, Ali Yousif Al-Qatrani, said in a press statement: “The Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, completely denies the statement attributed to him by some media and social networking sites about the release of the Iraqi abductees and the overthrow of the gang by Iranian agencies.”

The families of the Basrian kidnapped announced yesterday, Thursday, the liberation of their sons and the arrest of the gang members by the Iranian security authorities.

The brother of one of the kidnapped Iraqis, Jawad Kadhem, said in a press statement: “All the Iraqis kidnapped in Iran were liberated, and the kidnapping gang was arrested by the Iranian security forces and imprisoned.”
