The Civil Defense in Babylon announced today, Thursday, that it had rescued the Shomali electric station from a large fire that broke out in an adjacent orchard, south of Hilla.
Civil Defense media director, Aqeel Abdullah, said, “The civil defense teams were able today, Thursday, to prevent the spread of a fire that broke out in an orchard adjacent to the Shomali power station, and put it out without any injuries.”
He added that the police opened an investigation to find out the causes of the fire.
