Al-Rusafa police forces arrested a man who abused his wife and children, and seized narcotic pills in his possession, northeast of Baghdad.
The Police Command stated in a statement that: “After receiving an appeal by a battered woman with her children by her husband, a specialized work team was formed, and they moved to the house of the petitioner in the Hussainiyat Al-Maamel area, and it was found that there was a battered woman with traces of severe beating with her children. Liberating her and arresting the accused (the abused husband) and confiscating narcotic pills and traumatic machines in his possession.
It added that the accused was handed over to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against him, and to send the battered woman to the hospital for the purpose of examination and treatment, and to obtain the initial medical report for her and the children./ End
