Tahya Misr Fund dispatches 4th relief convoy for Gaza

Tahya Misr Fund dispatched on Tuesday 4/2/2024 its fourth relief convoy for the people of Gaza, containing significant amounts of food aid and essential supplies under the theme “We Share for Humanity.”

The initiative aligns with President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi’s directives, emphasizing the importance of humanitarian solidarity amid the worsening circumstances faced by the Palestinian people ahead of Eid Al-Fitr.

For his part, Tamer Abdel-Fattah, the executive director of the Tahya Misr Fund, stated that the convoy comprises 94 trucks carrying over 1,504 tons of aid.

This includes medical supplies and equipment to provide healthcare to the injured, such as medications and wheelchairs.

The aid is particularly crucial given Gaza’s restrictive blockade and the acute shortage of medical supplies, especially for individuals with disabilities.

According to Abdel-Fattah, the convoy contains substantial quantities of basic food items like flour, grains, oils, cheese, milk, dates, water and juices.

This is in add
ition to hygiene products, blankets, and tents to address various necessities and alleviate the severity of the crisis, especially during winter.

Tahya Misr Fund was established by El-Sisi in 2015 to help poor communities and needy villages in the country through development projects.

The fund has also assisted in crises at the regional level, providing aid for the reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip as well as sending medical convoys to a number of African countries.
