Sonatrach to resume its work in Libya.

Tripoli: Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Abdel Sadek, discussed with the CEO of the Algerian Sonatrach Company, Rashid Hachichi, enhancing strategic cooperation in the areas of energy and field services to preserve the interests of the two brotherly countries.

This came on the sidelines of the last day of the GASTECH 2024 conference and exhibition held in Houston, USA, according to the Facebook page of the ministry.

The two sides reiterated their commitment to strengthen their partnership in the area of exploring and developing oil and gas, renewable energy projects, and oil field services, in addition to training, exchange experiences, and transfer of knowledge, and the importance of protecting economic relations and strategic cooperation to preserve the interests of the two countries.

Hachichi affirmed the intention of Sonatrach to resume its activities in Libya, complete its contractual obligations, and begin developing the discovered fields.
