Seven new judges, prosecutors take oath before Mansour bin Zayed


ABU DHABI: Seven new judges and prosecutors took oath before His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department.

During the ceremony, organised at Qasr Al Watan, Sheikh Mansour emphasised that the rule of law is a fundamental principle in the UAE and one of the main pillars upon which the country has been built since its founding.

He also drew attention to the country’s commitment, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to the continuous development of the judicial sector and the services it provides, especially in terms of benefiting from modern technology and providing everything that would facilitate litigation procedures, thereby enhancing the concept of justice.

In turn, the new judges and prosecutors expressed their pride and honour in joining the judiciary in Abu Dhabi, to fulfil their mission of serving justice and safeguarding rights.

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department; Counsellor Ali Mohammed Al Balooshi, Attorney-General of Abu Dhabi; and Counsellor Ali Al-Shaer Al-Dhaheri, Director of Judicial Inspection.
