Saudi FM restates opposition to forced displacement of Gazans

RIYADH, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Saturday echoed the Kingdom’s emphatic rejection of any calls for the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, while condemning targeting civilians in any form.

The Saudi foreign minister made the remark while meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Riyadh.

He underlined that the Kingdom calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and its surrounding areas, lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip in line with international law, and ensuring urgent humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave.

He, further, emphasized that concerted efforts need to be exerted in order to stem the vicious circle of violence and all forms of military escalation against civilians, thus fending off a looming humanitarian crisis.

The Saudi foreign minister reaffirmed that dialogue is the sole way to find a just and comprehensive political way out of the conflict.
