Saudi Arabia mobilizes its human, material energies to serve pilgrims, 2nd add


One of the tasks and responsibilities of the Hajj security forces is to intensify the field security presence in order to speed up the monitoring of all types of cases and security observations, respond quickly with appropriate measures in this regard, take preventive measures to prevent crime, combat pickpocketing, and any negative phenomena that affect the security and safety of pilgrims, and balance traffic in security control centers at the entrances to the city of Makkah and the holy sites and the roads leading to them.

The Special Emergency Forces of the Presidency of State Security are working to maintain security and order in Mecca, Medina and the holy capital, ensure protection for the Kingdom’s guests, prevent violators of Hajj regulations from reaching the feelings, manage crowd movement, organize the throwing of embers in accordance with security plans and manage crowds in the southern square of the Grand Mosque in Mecca.

Meanwhile, the security aviation is working on reconnaissance flights to e
nsure the flow of traffic for pilgrims, ensure the safety of roads leading to the holy sites from unauthorized infiltrators of Hajj, support the security sectors in their tasks, and support humanitarian services in medical evacuation, rescue and firefighting work.

In addition, the Hajj Civil Defense is working to intensify preventive supervision work in the capital, the holy sites and Medina in terms of implementing and applying the preventive and awareness aspects, operational aspects, providing humanitarian services, managing the situation through the Al-Mashaer Operations Center, activating the role of volunteers in the Holy Capital and the holy sites, supporting the Haram forces, and cooperating with government agencies.

On the railway side, the Saudi Railways “SAR” announced the readiness of the Holy Sites Train to serve the pilgrims to start the actual operation of the Hajj season for the year 1445 AH, which starts on the morning of the seventh Thursday of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, provided that it
begins with the transfer of pilgrims from Mina to Arafat on the evening of the eighth day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah.
