Russian Central Bank raises key rate to 19%


The Central Bank of Russia said on Friday that it decided to raise the key rate by 1 percentage points to 19 percent, which marked a record high since April 2022, Russian news agency Sputnik reported.

“On 13th September 2024, the Bank of Russia Board of Directors decided to increase the key rate by 100 basis points to 19 percent,” the regulator said in a statement???.
