Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) officers on Tuesday seized a bag with 100,000 narcotic pills inside, which was abandoned in a yard at Al-Omari border post, the Public Security Department said.
AND personnel at the crossing with Saudi Arabia were suspicious of a bag laid in one of the yards, which was searched and 100,000 narcotic pills were found in it, the department’s media spokesman said.
An investigation was underway to identify and arrest those involved in the smuggling attempt, he said.
