Prime Minister: Iraq is witnessing good developments after ten years of ISIS occupying a third of its lands

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani confirmed that Iraq is witnessing good developments after ten years of ISIS occupying a third of its lands.

The Prime Minister said: Iraq is witnessing the implementation of a comprehensive plan for reconstruction, development, and restoring life to cities, and tall buildings and infrastructure are rising, and security is prevailing.

The Prime Minister stressed: We still have many basic challenges ahead of us in achieving economic, administrative, and environmental reforms and diversifying the economy.

He continued: We have taken great steps in the field of achieving security and have achieved a victory over terrorism.

Al-Sudani said: Soon we will crown the victory over the terrorist organization ISIS with a joint and important declaration with our allies and friends who stood by Iraq and supported it against a brutal enemy that posed a threat to the entire world.

The Prime Minister added: Our efforts are focused on strengthening the democratic process in Iraq and
working to consolidate the social contract and national cohesion.

The Prime Minister confirmed: We organized the provincial council elections, which had been suspended for ten years, after their organization in Kirkuk had been obstructed since 2005.

The Prime Minister added: We are now in the process of organizing the elections for the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, and our efforts are continuing to strengthen the relationship between the federal government and the regional government and local governments in the provinces.

The Prime Minister confirmed: Among our priorities is spreading justice and preserving diversity in our country, which we consider one of our most important resources.
