PM attends Citibank Jordan’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, 1st add

Al-Khasawneh stressed that the commitment to reform is a trans-governmental commitment, as stated in the ten-year comprehensive modernization program led by His Majesty King Abdullah II and supported by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.

Noor Jarrar, CEO of Citibank Jordan, emphasized that since Citi’s establishment in 1974, it has contributed to the journey of Jordan, which is rich in heritage and resilience.

She added: Over the past five decades, Citi has actively participated in landmark Jordanian transactions, from arranging globally significant sovereign bond financing to developing innovative credit solutions and facilitating local liquidity, integrating the Kingdom with global capital markets, enabling local companies on their journey to globalization, and enabling banking services for a range of multinational companies investing in Jordan; thereby contributing to the development of the local economy.

She pointed out that the stable regulatory environment has enabled us and
the favorable climate for growth as a supportive environment to provide the best services to both local and multinational companies operating in Jordan.

Ernesto Torres Cantu, Head of International Affairs at Citibank, said: “We have been honored to be part of Jordan’s great journey for five decades, and we are very grateful for the services and facilities we have received to provide our services in the Kingdom.

“Jordan is an integral part of our core network, and we are very proud of Jordan’s economic progress over the past decades despite exceptional challenges,” he added, noting Jordan’s resilience, strength and ability to adapt to challenges, and the diversification of the Jordanian economy by transforming from its traditional sectors to a regional center for technology, tourism and business finance under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
