Planning Minister Hala Saeed said on Tuesday 12/3/2024 the development of the communications and IT system represents a cornerstone of all axes of technological development backing transition to digital economy.
She made the remarks on the fringe of the ministry’s issuance of a report on targets and investments of the communications and IT sector in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
She said the communications and IT sector is pivotal for promoting sustainable development.
She added that the state seeks building digital Egypt through promoting the technological infrastructure.
Under the 2023-2024 plan, Egypt seeks upping the sector’s production to LE827 billion and allocating LE83.3 billion investments, she said.
