Palestinian Foreign Ministry Condemns Occupation’s Crimes in Jericho

Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the bloody and barbaric raid committed by the occupation forces on Monday morning in Aqbat Jabr Camp in Jericho, which led to the martyrdom of the 17-year-old Jibril Mohammed al-Ladda and the injury of others.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned in a statement the continuation of the unjust siege on the city of Jericho as the worst form of collective punishment against defenseless civilians.

The Ministry affirmed that the violations and crimes committed by the occupation and settlers reflect the instructions of the political and military level in the occupying state, which make it easier for soldiers to shoot live bullets with the aim of killing citizens. These crimes are also a direct result of the campaigns of incitement to violence and killing launched by more than one Israeli official and many extremist settler associations, which generate more tensions and hostility against the Palestinians, the statement added.

The ministry also said that it continues to follow up on the occupation and settlers’ violations and crimes at all levels, including the competent international courts, and believes that the lack of accountability of the Israeli entity, the sufficiency of states and the international community with some statements and expression of concern and the UN resolutions that are not implemented, are now encouraging the occupation to persist in implementing more of its colonial expansion projects and creeping and silent annexations of the occupied West Bank, and in committing more crimes against the Palestinian people.
