President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed the necessity of unifying the national ranks and working under the roof of the homeland to protect the stability of the country and the safety of citizens.
Rashid said in a statement: “On the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein and his family and companions, peace be upon them, on the day of Ashura, we recall the principles that represent a beacon that illuminates the path to freedom and social justice, rejecting injustice and triumphing for the truth.”
He added: “On this great occasion, we draw inspiration from the values of sacrifice and sacrifice that all Iraqis have offered in confronting tyranny and terrorism for the sake of the dignity of the homeland and citizens, and we stress the necessity of unifying the national ranks and working under the roof of the homeland to protect the stability of the country and the safety of citizens and meet their aspirations.
