The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Wednesday denounced the “heinous” attack that targeted a public bus in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, which claimed several deaths and injuries.
The OIC, in a press release, reiterated its principled position rejecting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, considering that targeting innocent civilians is an unjustifiable act.
It voiced condolences to the families of the victims, and the government and people of Senegal, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured, according to the statement.
Senegalese authorities announced earlier Tuesday that two people had burned to death and five were seriously injured in Dakar in a Molotov cocktail attack on a passenger bus during rush hour in Dakar.
