OAPEC praises UAE’s support for its Gen. Secretariat activities

Secretary-General of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) Jamal Al-Loughani praised Thursday role of the United Arab Emirates in providing support to the activities of the General Secretariat and its contribution to the development of its work.

This came in a press release issued by OAPEC during Al-Loughani’s meeting in the office of the UAE Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, Dr. Matar Al-Neyadi.

Al-Loughani appreciated the efforts made by the UAE to prepare for the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 28), expecting that the event will be exceptional this year, especially in light of changes and developments taking place in the energy industry globally.

For his part, the UAE Ambassador praised the Secretary General’s efforts to develop the organization in a way that benefits the interests of member states, wishing him success in his work and success in the upcoming 12th Arab Energy Conference to be held in the State of Qatar.

The Secretary-General presented the OAPEC shield to the UAE Ambassador in appreciation of his contributions and efforts during his tenure as a member of the Executive Office representing the UAE.
