The US Special Envoy to Libya, Ambassador Richard Norland, said that the United States joins international partners in supporting the United Nations mediation in Libya.
This came in his tweet, which he posted on the social networking site “Twitter”.
Ambassador Norland renewed the publication of the joint statement issued by America, France, Germany, Italy and Britain, to confirm their support for the efforts of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Abdullah Batili, to involve all Libyan institutions and key stakeholders, based on the work of the “6 + 6” committee, including by addressing All contested elements of the electoral framework in order to make it enforceable, to secure the inclusive political agreement needed for the path to elections, and to enable all candidates to have a level playing field.
