Chief of Staff of the Nigerien Armed Forces, Musa Salau Parmo, ordered today, Saturday, to put the country’s armed forces on high alert.
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) announced earlier its readiness for military intervention to resolve the crisis in Niger, stressing that the military option is not its preferred option, but it found itself forced to do so because of what it described as “the intransigence of the military council.”/ End
