The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, discussed with the Egyptian ambassador in Baghdad, Walid Muhammad Ismail, ways to strengthen brotherly relations between Iraq and Egypt.
The chancellery said in a statement, “During the meeting, the overall political and security situation, at the international and regional levels, was reviewed, as well as ways to strengthen brotherly relations between Iraq and Egypt, in all fields.”
The statement indicated that the two sides discussed the file of the Syrian al-Hol camp and the need for the international community to unite to end this camp, as it poses a real threat to the region and the world as a whole.
The statement added, “The repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war were also discussed, and the importance of working to end international conflicts and crises within the principle of dialogue and diplomatic channels was emphasized.”
