A member of the Parliamentary Economy, Industry and Trade Committee, Yasser Al-Husseini, confirmed: “The approval of the budget will not be delayed, despite the change that will affect some of its articles.”
Al-Husseini said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “The parliamentary consensus is clear in approving the budget because of its clear impact on the financial and economic life of the country.”
He added: “The budget has direct contact with people’s lives, and we expect that it will not remain in the corridors of the House of Representatives for a long time, with changing some of the articles contained therein.”
The House of Representatives had completed the first reading of the budget, hoping for a second reading and discussion soon.
