DUBAI: Mohamed Alabbar, Founder and Managing Director of Emaar, has been announced as a keynote speaker at the upcoming 1 Billion Followers Summit, marking a significant moment for the content creator economy. The event, set to take place in the UAE from January 11 to 13, 2025, will be hosted at Dubai’s Emirates Towers, the Dubai International Financial Centre, and the Museum of the Future, under the theme ‘Content for Good.’
According to Emirates News Agency, the summit has also named Emaar as a strategic partner for its third edition. Alabbar will be joined by global business leaders, top influencers, and renowned content creators. Emaar, known for its iconic developments such as the Burj Khalifa, boasts over five million followers on social media platforms.
Alabbar is set to share his entrepreneurial journey and insights into investment, business development, and launching pioneering projects. He will discuss how he transformed Emaar, founded in 1997, into a leading real estate development company both regionally and globally. His investment activities span various sectors, including real estate, retail, hospitality, e-commerce, technology, logistics, and food and beverage.
Alabbar is also the founder of Noon.com, a leading digital marketplace in the region, and serves as Chairman of Eagle Hills and the Americana Group. He is a key investor in Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP), a fund offering investment opportunities in the technology sector across the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey.

Emaar reported a total revenue of AED14.4 billion for the first half of this year, with net profits of AED7.8 billion before tax, reflecting growth of 17% and 33%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
