Miri: The security situation in all governorates is good and no breach occurred during the Arbaeen visit

The spokesman for the Supreme Security Committee for Securing the Arbaeen Visit, Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, announced today, Monday, that the security situation in all governorates is good and no security breach occurred.

Miri said during his daily briefing on the Arbaeen visit that “the number of arrivals to the country reached more than two million and 400 thousand visitors,” indicating that “the number of departing visitors reached more than 844 thousand visitors.”

He pointed out that “the security situation in all governorates is good and no security breach occurred,” adding that “traffic is flowing smoothly on the road of Arbaeen visitors.”

Miri pointed out that “two traffic accidents were recorded yesterday, the first on Al-Musayyab Road after a wheel collided with a Federal Police vehicle, resulting in the injury of 7 members, including two officers, due to excessive speed, and the other accident on Baghdad Road. There were no deaths in either accident and legal measures were taken.” He continue
d, “We monitored a rumor yesterday on social media about the thwarting of an attempt to poison visitors with (phosphoric acid) and other substances. This is a baseless rumor and has been addressed. The Ministry of Interior and the rest of the security services have not recorded an accident of this type.
