Ministry of Labour discusses the situation of foreign workers in Libya.

In its meeting held in Tripoli, the Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation reviewed the condition of the foreign workers in the country and the results of the inspection campaign by the Ministry.

During the meeting, the most prominent violations that were caught and how to coordinate to control and organize the labour market were identified in accordance with the legislation and laws in force.

The meeting discussed the importance of developing mechanisms and a strategy led by the Ministry to settle the file, and it was agreed to continue coordination to support the Ministry’s efforts by the Municipal Guard, Passports Investigation Department, and the rest of the relevant agencies to control the labour market, in addition to holding another expanded meeting in the coming period.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Labour and Rehabilitation, Interior, Foreign Affairs, and Culture, the head of the Passports and Foreigners Affairs Authority, the head of the Municipal Guard, and representatives of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Illegal Immigration Authority, and the security services.
