Minister of Migration and Displacement Evan Faeq Jabro discussed with the new UN Secretary-General’s Representative in Iraq, Mohammed Al-Hassani, increasing cooperation and coordination to support stability in return areas.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and Humanitarian Coordinator Ghulam Mohammad Ishaq, Jabro congratulated Al-Hassani on his assignment to the new position in Iraq, expressing her hope for success in the tasks assigned to him, and at the same time praising the work of the organizations affiliated with the United Nations and their cooperation with the Ministry.
A statement by the ministry explained that cooperation and coordination were discussed to support the ministry’s care categories of displaced persons and returnees, as well as supporting stability in return areas.
