Minister of environment reviews means to develop Lake Borolos


Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad discussed on Sunday with MP Mohamed El Sammoudi of Kafr El Sheikh governorate means to develop Lake Borolos and protect it from the negative impacts of the climate change as one of the important natural reserves.

The minister explained her ministry’s viewpoint on developing the lake and the task assigned to an international firm to prepare an integrated study on its water quality.

The meeting also tackled the problems facing the lake including emissions resulting from the burning of medical wastes near it.

Lake Borolos is one of Egypt’s most gorgeous travel destinations; especially that it is one of Egypt’s rare natural protectorates.

It has 28 islands separated by great distances inhabited by a number of families and fishermen.
