DUBAI: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, today received Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, Prime Minister of Libya’s Government of National Unity, who is on a working visit to the UAE to participate in the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2024 being held in Dubai.
During the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of WGS 2024, His Highness Sheikh Mansour and Prime Minister Dbeibah discussed ways to boost UAE-Libya cooperation across various economic and developmental fields to help achieve their peoples’ aspirations for development and prosperity.
The meeting also touched on the work of the World Governments Summit and the importance of the topics it spotlights to shape the future of governments and contribute to building a better future for societies and countries by empowering decision-makers to enhance their readiness for the future.
Dbeibah expressed his appreciation to the UAE for inviting his country to participate in WGS
2024, noting the importance of the summit as a global platform for dialogue on developing government work at a global scale.

Tripoli: The head of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, said on Tuesday that the main and only reason for delaying salaries is the failure to adopt the budget law for the year, which disrupts disbursement procedures at the beginning of every new year.
‘Al-Dabaiba’ confirmed, according to the media office of the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, his government’s keenness and endeavor not to delay salaries for all Libyans without exception, and that it sought and seeks to raise and increase these salaries and make them fair and appropriate to life’s challenges and obligations.
Al-Dabaiba said, ‘Although the reasons for the delay were beyond our control, today I find myself obligated to apologize to my people for any delay.’
