Mansoor bin Mohammed attends UAE SWAT Challenge 2024


DUBAI: H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, today attended the competitions on the third day of the fifth edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge, being held at Training City in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai.

The third day of the event was held in the presence of Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, senior officers and leaders of tactical teams from across the world.

His Highness watched tactical teams and special police units from various countries competing in the ‘Officer Rescue’ challenge. The challenge involved handling several shooting targets in the training field, overcoming obstacles and rescuing an officer via a suspended rope bridge.

Sheikh Mansoor commended the successful organisation of the fifth edition of the event by Dubai Police, noting the remarkable growth in the number of participating teams year after year.

The UAE SWAT Challenge aims to promote competition, facilitate the exchange
of expertise and enhance the capabilities of special task forces from various countries in order to address challenges and dangers that threaten community security and safety.

This year’s event will showcase world-class tactical teams competing in five main challenges: Tactical Event, Assault Challenge, Officer Rescue, High Tower Challenge and Obstacle Course.
