Lukoil Company equips 32 schools in Al-Madina district, north of Basra, with a surveillance camera system


Lukoil and Basra Oil Company have prepared a project to equip, install and inspect surveillance cameras for 32 schools in al-Madina district, within the framework of the social benefits projects recovered for West Qurna-2 field.

Lukoil Public Relations and Regional Affairs Advisor Hassan Maan Hassan said in a statement today, “The project included equipping an integrated camera system for each of the 32 schools in al-Madina. The system includes 32 surveillance cameras, a digital camera recording device, a digital partition device, a display screen, a 6 terabyte HDD hard disk, an Ethernet cable, an electrical power device, in addition to all work requirements for installation and fixing. The project value amounted to 528,751 US dollars, financed by Lukoil on the basis of the recoverable costs for West Qurna-2 field.

He added, “This project is considered part of the package of social benefits projects sent to Lukoil by Basra Oil Company and Basra Governorate. Pointing out that the company is following up on t
he implementation of other projects in various service sectors that will be completed during the current year. In addition to other projects in advanced stages of contracting procedures, referral, and technical and commercial evaluation..
