The media office of the Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, denied what is being circulated on some social media sites about the Prime Minister calling on the army and security forces to declare a state of maximum alert.
The Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement: “This news is incorrect and falls within the framework of rumors only.”
