KUWAIT, Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah participated Tuesday in an emergency meeting of the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states on Israeli occupation’s escalation in the Palestinian territories in Muscat.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said the GCC foreign ministers discussed in their meeting the situation in the Palestinian territories in lights of the escalation of the Israeli violence and illegal and indiscriminate bombing of residential neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli plans to invade the Gaza Strip and expel its people.
The ministers mulled galvanizing international efforts to protect the Palestinian people, stop escalation and deal with the dangerous challenges caused by this situation.
They deliberated intensifying diplomatic and political efforts to ensure the delivery of humanitarian and relief aid as well as the basic need to the Palestinian people.
