Dr. Bayan Sharif, Provost at Khalifa University, highlighted the program’s significance, stating that it offers students an international experiential learning experience culminating in a pitching competition to investors. This initiative aligns with the university’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship and innovation, contributing to the UAE’s goal of fostering a knowledge-based economy. The program is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to transition their innovations into global businesses, thereby supporting the UAE’s economic development.
Hitendra Chaturvedi, co-director of the MS in Entrepreneurship and Innovation program at ASU, emphasized the importance of cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset, noting that ASU has been ranked No. 1 in innovation for a decade. The collaboration with Khalifa University aims to equip future leaders with the ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty, fostering both entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial skills.
