Mubaidin added that the ideological-information dimension represents a vital element in combating terrorism, through the use of media to spread awareness, dismantle terrorist propaganda, and promote alternative ideologies, so that media efforts contribute to undermining extremist ideology, making societies safer and more stable, which requires coordination and cooperation between various actors, including governments, media, and civil society organizations, to ensure the success of media strategies in confronting and combating terrorism.

For his part, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmed Hanandeh said: “The potential for disruption and damage caused by terrorism and cyber-attacks is increasing dramatically due to the increasing reliance on various means of technology by organizations. A successful cyber-attack can cause far-reaching consequences even for countries, and the tools and knowledge needed to carry out cyber-attacks are becoming increasingly available, reducing the barrier of ent
ry for attackers.”

Hanandeh stressed that institutions must know the risk and impact of hacking and the importance of cybersecurity for countries, by providing backup infrastructures, in addition to developing and testing home-made protection systems, developing a plan to use them in case of emergency, conducting a periodic study to identify potential threat sources, employing cyber intelligence and turning its outputs into operational plans.
