Jordanian min: cooperation between Cairo-Amman outstanding

Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Shamali on Saturday praised the Egyptian-Jordanian relations in several domains, describing a ties between Cairo and Amman as a role model for Arab cooperation.

The relations between both sides have achieved progress in all fields, thanks to serious and constant directives of both President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Shamali said in statements to MENA correspondent a few hours ahead of launching the 31st session of the Higher Egyptian-Jordanian Joint Committee here.

Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and his Jordanian counterpart will co-chair the 31st session of the joint committee, Shamali told MENA.

The meetings of the committee will discuss a set of files meant to foster mutual cooperation in various domains, especially in the economic ones, the Jordanian minister, who chairs the Jordanian side’s preparatory committee of the session, said.

The talks will shed light on several topics aimed to promoting trilateral cooperation between Egypt, Jordan and Iraq, as well the four-way partnership comprising Egypt, Jordan, the UAE and Bahrain, Shamali said.

He pointed out to the keenness of both Egypt and Jordan on maintaining the dynamic status of the meetings of the higher joint committee, with a view to handling any obstacles facing the trade exchange, stimulating and setting up investment projects alongside maximizing utilization of potential opportunities in both countries.
