Jordan Sends New Humanitarian Aid Convoy to Gaza

Amman: Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), in partnership with the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)- Arab Army, dispatched a humanitarian aid convoy to Gaza on Thursday, comprising 50 trucks loaded with essential supplies.

Prepared in collaboration with the World Food Program and supported by organizations, primarily Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, Doctors Without Borders, Muslims Around the World, and the United Palestinian Appeal, the convoy carried food, medical supplies, sterile materials, blankets, sleeping mats, clothing, and footwear.

Hussein Shibli, Secretary-General of JHCO, said the organization, in coordination with the Jordanian government, is striving to increase the volume of relief aid sent to Gaza by opening more crossings.

Highlighting the “urgent” need to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Shibli affirmed the current situation does not meet adequate humanitarian standards and underscored the necessity of scaling up aid efforts to sustain life in the coastal enclave.

To date, a
total of 2,563 trucks and 53 aircraft through El Arish International Airport have delivered aid to Gaza, Shibli added.

JHCO continues to accept cash donations through its designated bank account at Bank al Etihad (Account No.: JO32 UBSI 1030 0000 4010 1659 9151 06), electronic wallets, CliQ: (JHCOGAZA), eFAWATEERCOM, or via the organization’s website (www.jhco.org.jo).
